Welcome Message
Dear Colleagues,
It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 8th Abu Dhabi International Vascular Conference, taking place from 6–8 November 2026 at Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
This year’s theme, “Every Step Matters: Raising Awareness in Limb Salvage and Vascular Care” reflects something that sits at the heart of modern vascular care — working together to prevent avoidable amputations, improve quality of life, and ultimately save lives.
Vascular disease affects millions of people worldwide and is often not recognised until serious complications develop. From diabetic foot disease and chronic limb-threatening ischaemia to stroke prevention, vascular trauma, venous disease, and aortic emergencies, good outcomes depend on early recognition, timely referral, and close multidisciplinary teamwork.
This conference continues to focus on raising awareness of vascular disease across the wider healthcare community. Our audience includes not only vascular specialists, but also the many professionals involved in caring for vascular patients every day — including emergency medicine, primary care, radiology, podiatry, endocrinology, rehabilitation, wound care, nursing, physiotherapy, and allied healthcare teams.
This year, we are especially excited to place a stronger focus on limb salvage. The programme will explore practical, real-world approaches to prevention, revascularisation, wound care, diabetic foot management, infection control, rehabilitation, and long-term patient care, with sessions delivered by leading regional and international experts.
We are also delighted to introduce a new patient-focused diabetic foot awareness and education programme alongside the scientific meeting. By engaging directly with patients and the public, we hope to promote earlier intervention, better foot care awareness, and prevention of avoidable complications.
Our annual community vascular awareness walk will also return this year, continuing an initiative that reflects the spirit of the conference — bringing healthcare professionals, patients, families, and the wider community together around vascular health and prevention.
On behalf of the organising committee, we would like to thank all our speakers, faculty, partners, sponsors, and attendees for being part of this growing conference. We hope the meeting provides not only valuable learning and discussion, but also an opportunity to connect, collaborate, and share ideas that will help improve patient care across the region and beyond.
We look forward to welcoming you to Abu Dhabi.
Warm regards,
